BEAUTIFUL PLANETS Series 2 / sculpture vases

Unique pieces

BEAUTIFUL PLANETS is a series of unusual sculpture vases, each one of which could suggest a planet of the universe.

This second collection relies on bright graphic colours: yellow, white and blue. It is an intriguing creation playing with the mix of materials - wood, plywood, chipboard or lacquered medium, leather and glass, and with the contrast between raw and "finished" surfaces in order to reach a new aesthetics.

Exclusively made out of scraps, each piece is a unique eco-design creation due to the veins in the wood and the choice of materials and colours according to the scraps available at a given moment. Each planet is handmade and born out of the designer's work, with a particular attention for beautiful finish.

"The engraving 'mother earth - la terre est notre mère' is my leitmotiv, the guiding thread of my work. This beautiful phrase, which means everything, is at the origin of my ecological commitment. It finds all its meaning in creating my 'beautiful planets'. What better than a sphere could embody our beautiful planet earth?"
